Server problems yesterday were due to a firewall crash at DDN

DominoDeveloper.NET (DDN) hosts our servers, and their service and reliability are generally very good, but the almost seven hour outage yesterday didn't feel too good.  According to the DDN support:
We are very sorry for this recent outage and we are taking steps to prevent an outage of this duration from occurring again. The problem was due to a firewall crash. Our solution is to implement redundant firewall devices so that a failover option is immediately available.  We expect to have this solution in place within the next week.
So, my apologies to anybody inconvenienced, but I wanted to assure you we are alive and well.  (Anytime our server goes down, somebody inevitably writes or calls and asks if we have gone out of business.  While this may reflect a certain reality in the IT world these days, nothing could be further from the truth.  Business is thriving, all is well!)
