I won't go into a lot of details, but I liked the book a great deal.  The ending was hard to take, but takes the series in a compelling direction I can't wait to follow.  This book seemed much better edited than The Order of the Phoenix, and was easier to read.  Many keep saying it was darker than the previous books, but I found it less dark than the Order of the Phoenix, and more fun to read.  All in all, J. K. Rowling is amazing.  She just keeps writing these wonderful books, and keeps coming up with further complexities while unwinding other ones, all with a great sense of humor.  I will certainly reread it , and I certainly recommend it to others.

I love the HP books. After the 2nd one came out, there'd been so much press I decided to see what the fuss was all about and bought the first one. It was great, of course, so I've been reading them ever since. Sunday eve I swung by the grocery store for a few things, and there was Half Blood Prince just inside the door. OK, with it THAT easy, i had to buy it. My plan HAD been to just order it from Amazon. So I've got a good 500 pages or so to go (just started it), but I'm already right back at home at Hogwarts.
