Scooping out Pandora's box

In Greek mythology, Pandora opened a box (or a jar, in a literal translation) after having been warned not to, and thus unleashed all the evils that plague the world.  It is somehow fitting that my son, who has the current "right of naming" for our household pets, decided to name our new cat Pandora, perhaps in honor of his starting to take Greek in school.  The cat we have had for the past five years, Perseus, named by my son during the Olympics in Athens, is a feisty beast, with a bad habit of going from purr to growl in an instant, so adding a new cat to the mix may well be unleashing evils on our household.  That remains to be seen.

What does not remain to be seen is who will be scooping out the new litter box, Pandora's box.  That would be me.
