Anybody had a chance to try out wikiCalc?

I was reading another one of Rob Weir's excellent posts from back in August, A Tale of Two Formats, and he mentioned wikiCalc® , which I was not familiar with before.  As far as I can tell on quick perusal, wikiCalc is an interesting blend of wiki, spreadsheet and WYSIWYG editor (although less of the latter).  I think the concept is very intriguing, but it also makes me think of a couple of different blends of applications that might also be interesting.  Hmm.

Anyway, more on that later.  Anybody try this out yet?  Any opinions?

Starting to populate session resource materials in Sessions db

Update: I guess people like this.  There have been 778 separate replications  in the past two days.

As I suggested earlier, I have started to populate the sessions db with links to session resources.  If you replicate the latest version from lotusphere.turtleweb.com, you will see in the By  Session ID view that there are three possible icons.  The color and black and white Acrobat symbols mean that a link is available from Lotusphere on-line to the color or black and white PDF of the slides of the presentation as handed in before Lotusphere.  The blue arrow means there is a link to the updated presentation, and possibly sample dbs and more, from the blog or website of one of the speakers.  So far, I have presentation links from Alan Bell, Alan Lepofsky,  Andrew Pollack, Ben Langhinrichs (me), Bill Buchan, Chris Blatnick, Declan Lynch, Ed Brill, Gabriella Davis, Henry Newberry, Jens-B. Augustiny, John Head, John Vaughan, Julian Robichaux, Nathan Freeman, Rob Wunderlich, Scott Good, Sean Burgess and Steve Castledine, but as people send links, I am adding them and replicating.  If you know of a public link to any speaker's page, please post it here or e-mail me and I'll get it updated.

IBM Business Partners - Come participate in the BP forum

For those readers of this blog who don't know, there is a Business Partner forum which allows a great deal of access to IBM, a community of those who care deeply about Lotus Notes/Domino and IBM products, and a place to provide feedback and bug reports that may reach IBM a bit more easily.  It is a mutual support forum with active IBM participation, but (usual caveat must be mentioned), it is not an official support forum.  Nonetheless, I doubt you will regret joining in.  I started a thread in there yesterday about attracting new Business Partners given all the excitement in the community, and this was Debora Cole's message to give to you.
The Partner Forum 2007 Database Now available

The Partner Forum is a peer to peer discussion database used by IBM Business Partners focused on Lotus technologies. This database helps to enable the Business Partner community to exchange Lotus technical information with each other to better deliver solutions to our mutual customers. Lotus employees and Business Partners are encouraged to contribute questions and responses based on their areas of expertise. The database is available for replication from the Lotus Notes Network (LNN).

The database is available for replication from the Lotus Notes Network (LNN) (http://www.ibm.com/software/lotus/support/lnn/).  Business Partners can register on the Lotus Notes Network (LNN). 

If you will be participating in the forum, please fill out a profile and familiarize yourself with the guidelines of the database.
So come on in and give it a try.  If nothing else, it is fun to participate in an IBM forum that has no web interface, but actually utilizes the excellent Notes client.

As I mentioned before, among all the officially scheduled events at Lotusphere 2007, I also got to enjoy many unofficial events.  One that actually got captured on film was my having a milkshake with Bruce and Gayle.  Thanks!
