Cleveland, Ohio, 09/16/2004 -- Genii Software is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Midas Rich Text C++ API 3.40. Joining the acclaimed Midas Rich Text LSX and introduced simultaneously with the @Midas Formulas 3.40 for formula language, the new C++ library extends the reach of the Midas Rich Text family of products to new languages and new audiences.

The Midas Rich Text C++ API is designed to appeal to every ISV or hard core developer who has wished to build robust or even commercial products in C++ or another high level language using the simple but powerful methods available in the Midas Rich Text LSX. The same easy, but powerful, classes and methods are available (with minor exceptions), but can now be integrated at a whole new level with server add-ins, extension managers, menu add-ins or even stand alone programs. Adding rich text data mining or high quality HTML generation to commercial third party products can now be done easily and quickly. Licensing is still done through Genii Software, but special arrangements can be made with ISVs who need to have different license models. Some early adopter ISVs are already working with this API to extend Domino integration with .NET and with other external software.

The Midas Rich Text C++ API is available now for all Windows client and server platforms for Notes/Domino 5.x and 6.x/6.5x, but will be made available shortly on additional operating systems, including especially Linux and AIX. We are evaluating the feasibility of offering a Mac version, especially since the ability to create and manipulate forms and other design elements might be appealing given the lack of a Domino Designer.

Please visit our Midas Rich Text C++ API page to find out more about pricing and customer benefits. A fully functional evaluation license is available for free by filling out our on-line evaluation form.

The Midas Rich Text C++ API is solely owned and licensed by Genii Software Ltd.
