In order to observe our website you do not need to provide, nor does Genii require, any personal information.
Evaluation Requests and Licenses
When you request an evaluation license from Genii Software, you are required to provide certain minimal information including your e-mail address, your name, your company name, and the I.P. address used. This information is used to follow up on evaluation requests and to maintain records to prevent abuse of the evaluation license. Personal information will be deleted upon request, but company information will be retained to provide an audit trail in case of abuse.
License or Service Orders
When you purchase a license or service from Genii Software, you are required to provide certain information to us and our third party payment provider, including without limitation your e-mail address, your name, a billing name and address, credit card type, number and expiration date, and the I.P. address used. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill your order, and also to maintain contact with you regarding your request. Except for explicit arrangements with certain customers to store credit card information for periodic use, credit card information is made non-functional after use by eliminating all but the last few digits and eliminating the expiration date. Our automated tools use these I.P. addresses to curtail comment spam, and we may also use the information to connect questions or comments with specific evaluation requests or production licenses. We use Global Payments as a payment provider, and thus share personal and credit card information with them as required. We may also use PayPal upon request from a customer.
We strongly suggest that if you choose to use PayPal or another third party payment option, you review the privacy policies of such party. Genii is not responsible for any actions such parties may take with respect to such information.

The third-parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of customer information and to be bound by this privacy statement.

Information About Children
Genii does not intend to collect, nor do we knowingly collect, any information from or about children. It is possible that a child impersonating an adult may provide the child’s name, address, phone number, email address and social security number in an attempt to register as a customer and/or to purchase services. If Genii determines that a user is a child, we will use such information only to reject the child’s attempted registration or purchase, and we will immediately delete such information after we send the response to the child.
