Cleveland, OH, 08/16/2005 -- Genii Software is pleased to announce the release of CoexEdit 1.1. Version 1.1 is the first public upgrade to CoexEdit, and incorporates bug fixes, internal enhancements, scalability and reliability improvements and feature enhancements based on the experience of the early adopter companies who have been using CoexEdit since Version 1.0.

CoexEdit lets people edit rich text from both a Notes client and a web browser without significant loss of formatting. Images, attachments, tables and doclinks can all be added, deleted and modified cleanly from either your web editor or your Notes client. You can even choose your own rich text web editor, using the one which best meets the needs of your organization. Best of all, there are no agents or scripts or coding required for CoexEdit itself, and we can help you figure out how to easily integrate your chosen rich text web editor with Lotus Notes. Integration is already available with the popular FCKEditor, TinyMCE and Xinha, successor to htmlArea 3. Integration with other web editors will be announced shortly.

CoexEdit 1.1 is available now for all Windows server platforms for Notes/Domino 5.x and 6.x/6.5x and on AIX 4.3.3 and higher for Domino 5.x and 6.x. Plans are in place to release a Linux version shortly.. Lotus Notes R5.x and 6.x/6.5x clients on both Windows and the Mac can edit rich text using CoexEdit, and web editing is available from any platform that supports later generation browsers including IE 5.5+, Firefox 1.0+, Mozilla 1.3+ and Netscape 7+. Local database rich text editing is available for Lotus Notes R5.x and 6.x/6.5x on Windows platforms.
