Blogrolls and Naming
Sat 12 Jul 2003, 05:39 PMTweet
by Ben Langhinrichs
I was reading a post by Kathryn Kramer in which she talks about blogrolls. You may have noticed that I don't have a blogroll, and I was think of adding one, but I couldn't convince myself until I read this. The problem is that I don't want to post a link to Duffbert's Random Musings, but I might well post a link to Tom Duff. She explains better than I am likely to why, so in case anybody wonders, I'll point them here and they can go there.

Well, don't get all excited or anything. Wait till you actually see the blogroll for that.

I liked what Kathryn had to say - and I agree, somewhat, with the "use real names" thing. What I do is set the Title of the href tag to the actual name of the blogger, and use the "blog name" for the link itself. That way you get all the information.
BTW, you are now on the Lotus Geek Honor Roll for displaying the Lotus Geek logo ;)

And based on this post and the article, I finally put an About document on my site so that people could find out who I actually am. I realized I didn't have my real name anywhere in there!
