The Domino Blogosphere seems a bit quiet lately

I'm not sure whether it is post-Lotusphere quiet, or a confluence of unrelated events, but there don't seem to be many posts these days.  Even Duffbert only seems to be reading about five books a day, down from his usual ten or so.  Rats, I guess I'll have to actually get work done instead of getting distracted by blog-surfing.

I noticed the same thing! My hit rate is down 20% this week, I've made only a few postings, and I'm not reading much either. I wonder if it is a full moon or soemthing.

I posted something just yesterday (after a lull I suppose) it is rich text related so I guess you will have to pop over and read it!

Ed - Maybe everybody is just busy selling Notes/Domino to everybody else.

Alan - I saw that actually. BTW, links show up after a short interval, no matter what it says in the Help below. Security by obscurity and all that. I removed you later posts about the links.

I have a blog entry in draft-mode, tentitively titled "The Death of the Domino Blog". Should ruffle some feathers and increase my number of enemies ten-fold.

"Death"? Who's talking about "Death"? I'm talking about separating the wheat from the chaff, the men from the boys, the... Actually, I wasn't really talking about any of those things, but I'll be interested to read your blog entry. It is about time for some people to drop off the radar since they aren't "getting their needs met" (i.e., making money) from their blogs. It is a shame, but not surprising. On the other hand, Ed may be right and it may be just a full moon.

LOL... Yeah, my reading/review rate is a bit down so far this month. For one, there's no "recreational reading" around right now. The books I'm reading are a bit more business-oriented and less "fun" to get buried in. I do have two reviews that are ready to do, I just haven't had the time the last few days to do them.

I'll have to make up for it this weekend...

Well, I've got a post or two in prep ...code to share. But we've been so busy here in Litton-land with settling into the new house and straining to find the garage floor in hopes of parking cars on it someday, that the blogging and most things geek (aside from the regular work day) must take a bit of a back seat.

Tom "Phallic Java" Duffbert has no legit excuse.

And here I was thinkng that just when I start blogging, it becomes unpopular to do so! Hey Jake, I see a pattern, however. Seems that you have been doing a lot lately with your site and blogging about it. Seems to me that when you are somewhat quiet, the rest of the Domino blogging community is chattering away. But, when you are blogging a lot (like you are now) everyone else is quiet. Could it be that you are the E.F. Hutton of the Domino world?

@300.7 - Wait just a minute there, Runtbert...

Yeah, you've got your new house and all... But apparently you've had time to cook the snot out of chicken (actually I think it was a burnt sacrifice to the hurricane gods) and to play in your pool. So don't give us the whiney "I've been too busy" speech. You just need to get your priorites straight.

:-)

(postscript - for those who don't know, Joe and I are actually good friends... or at least we were until this post...)
