Nathan - Much as it pains me to admit it, you are absolutely correct. Your version is vastly better, and I greatly appreciate the time taken to make it look better. Could you do me a huge favor and create a second version where the words are "Sent by Notes" and "Sent by Notes & CoexLinks 3.0"? After that, maybe you could even explain to your humble servant how to make it look like that.

Will get it to you this evening, sir. :-) (And it's just a few subtleties like having a good graphic icon library, a modern font, and a splash of texture with a little gradient shading. Easy as pie with Photoshop.)

Gradients are so 1994....

yeah (apple.com) nobody SocialText.com uses (IdeaJam.net) gradients (Notes 8 demo) anymore (Microsoft.com)

To me that's a little too harsh of a gradient. Fading out to a slightly lighter tone would be less visually jarring. I'm also getting a little tired of the gradient overload, mirrored images, rounded corners and glass capsule look. Apple did it a couple of years ago, it's time to move on.

@Charles - I'd be thrilled if my ad looked more like 2006-2007 than 1996-1997. If Nathan can get me closer to today's bright and shiny promises, so be it. If you can create an even more special image, I'd love to see it, as I'm certainly always willing to partake in free advice.
