How many new documents can be created per second before modification dates skew into future?

Versions: ND7; ND8; ND8.5

48 new documents per second

Tweet: 'Max new docs per second before db/doc mod time skews forward: 48'

Additional notes:

This limit was reported by Mark Ramos of Granite Software, who wrote:
Number of new documents you can create per second before database and document modification dates skew into future = 48

This limit is documented as SPR: SKIN8E5SUS - According to Shane Kilmon/Westford/IBM: a fix would require a very low-level architectural change, so will not be delivered in 8.x. They are investigating for N/D 'next'.

I have made the assumption that is is true back to ND.7. If anybody can confirm that it was true earlier than that, please add a note in comments below.

This limit in various releases of Lotus Notes/Domino:

48 new documents per second (ND7 to 8.5)
